How can anyone not love a movie that includes a meanie boss, a surprise performance by Edith from All in the Family, a brooding skeptical Reporter, a country song-writing sweetie , the world’s favorite dog, and a womanizing chain smoking angel? You can’t. Add great scenes in Chicago (parts filmed at an extension campus of UofC where I once taught so I can tell you they made it look super) and lots of surprise moments and little inside hints about angels and finally a joyous soundtrack of feel-good songs.
